This is hands down the best specialty bookstore that I’ve ever had the pleasure of stepping foot in. The Self Esteem Shop has the best selection of books you can find anywhere. The owner is extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and must read and hand-pick every book, toy, etc. that they sell (which is evidenced by their great selection, and her knowledge and insight about every book that they have). I hope that more people will support this wonderful family owned gem (and help it from being put out of business by Amazon)!

I typically do not write reviews online, however my experience at the Self-Esteem Shop was worth sharing with everyone. From the moment I entered the store, I was amazed at how many resources and supplies they had in stock. Their staff was friendly, honest, and very knowledgable. As a new therapist, I can understand how overwhelming it can be to deal with a difficult client. By going to this store, it made things so much easier. I loved my experience and would go back time and time again to get my resources. Handymen might have Home Depot, but clinicians have the Self-Esteem Shop.
My first experience at the Self Esteem Shop has me wanting to go back right now for more! As a new clinician, I found the owner of the store to be so knowledgeable and helpful in helping me select some new toys for my play therapy toolkit. She also went above and beyond to assist me in picking out some books that are perfect for some of the little ones I'm working with. I will definitely be back, probably after my next paycheck! :)
